What
Makes Our Celebration Cakes So Special?

We actually BAKE
our cake!!
Competitors
use frozen cake delivered by a truck. Sometimes it’s just an uniced cake.
Sometimes it’s already iced and decorated frozen. We have a hard time
calling that BAKING. All our cakes are fresh baked by our own skilled
craftspeople.
· We
use ONLY pure, REAL heavy cream – from a real cow!!
Most
supermarkets, discount warehouses and bakeries use artificial “whipped
topping” made with oil and chemicals. Our whipped cream cakes need
refrigeration because it’s real heavy cream. Nothing can compare to the
freshness and quality of the real thing.

We COOK
our own custards - they’re not out of a can using preservatives.
Our
vanilla custard is cooked in a steam kettle with real milk, sugar, and our
special ingredients. Chocolate custard is cooked the same way with imported
chocolate added. Once cooled completely, we mix the vanilla custard with 50%
fresh whipped cream to fill our cakes, éclairs and cream puffs. Our custard is
made fresh and is never bought or used out of a can. Because there are no
preservatives, refrigeration is required.

We COOK
our own fillings
– they don’t come in on trucks to our back door.
We
don’t open a can and use it in your cake like other bakeries. We cook our
apple filling in addition to our own strawberry, cherry, pineapple, peach,
cranberry and blueberry fillings in a steam kettle using the freshest fruit
combined with sugar and tapioca starch. If you compare the flavor of ours to
anyone’s you’ll see the difference in fresh cooked fillings as opposed to
canned.

We also use
the freshest fruit possible.
What
better way to compliment a filling than fresh fruit? The fruit that Amatos'
Bakery buys is the freshest available - almost as if it were just picked from
the tree or grown in our own garden. We use the freshest fruit possible which is
sliced and added to our customer’s cake. The possibilities of combinations
with other fillings are endless.

We have a
customer service department that is specifically trained to take Celebration
Cake orders – not just someone who happens to pick up the telephone.
There
are no competitors with as much experience and/or knowledge as our customer
service department. You can be assured your special cake order will be given all
the attention it deserves each and every time.

Our icings
aren’t delivered to us – we actually MIX them!!
Again,
it’s easy to place an order for icings from a large distribution company when
you’re a big supermarket or wholesale warehouse – it’s easier – but
it’s not baking!
Other
‘bakeries’ do it every day. That just does not happen at Amatos' Bakery.
Chocolate Fudge
Only
the best ingredients and our secret ingredients make our fudge delicious. Notice
the fudge has a beautiful shine on our brownies and our layer cakes, .
Other competitors buy "ready-made" fudge with chemical preservatives
and other chemicals. With Amatos'

Buttercream
Our
buttercream has a smooth-silky white color, texture, and flavor. A good
buttercream will be creamy whereas a canned buttercream will have air pockets,
artificial flavors, and even white coloring added. Our buttercream is available
in a variety of flavors including chocolate, mocha, and amaretto.
Chocolate Mousse
Our
chocolate mousse can be used as a filling or an icing. It is a creamy, chocolaty
change from whipped cream. Just like in our whipped cream, the chocolate mousse
we make is with pure heavy cream and cocoa. The difference between ours and
someone else’s is the texture, color, and flavor.
Cannoli Cream
We
use a special Ricotta cheese normally not found in your regular food store.
Sugar is added as, as well as natural flavor. Some places use store bought
vanilla custard and throw some chocolate chips in. The real thing is the quality
cheese we use as well as our other ingredients.

Decorations:
Chef
Mike has his own unique script writing, which you won’t find anywhere else.
We
write in a thin chocolate, which makes the cake look more elegant. Many of our
competitors use thick lined buttercream writing as a standard.
We
also offer an extremely wide choice of wafer pictures. You have the option of
using one of our thousands of pictures to put on your cake. You can even bring
in or email your own picture to be put on the cake! The options you
have for decorations are endless.
